Tennent’s are offering to clean your Glasgow and Edinburgh flats for FREE

Scotland’s favourite lager just changed the game

| UPDATED

Yes, you did read that right – between the 14th and the 22nd September, the people over at Tennent's Lager have set up the "Bedroom PiTstop".

For lazy students who are still suffering from the Freshers' Week hangover, this is a dream come true. The service is a "rapid clean up service" and the clean up team will be operating over the week, 24 hours a day, and will collect your keys and clean your flat.

If your pre-drinks last night got a little out of hand and your kitchen and bedroom have been left looking like they were the site of a nuclear detonation then give the "Scrub Line" a call – 07956635876 – or tweet Tennent's Lager with the hashtag #BedroomPiTstop. Tennent's will then send some people over, armed with cleaning gear, to make your flat look just like you never moved in.

They will even collect your keys from you at a local club and have your room tidy by the time you get back, just in-case you have any, ahem, unexpected visitors.

Alan McGarrie, head of UK brand marketing at Tennent's, said: "We look forward to serving the new students of Scotland with our Bedroom PiTstop", adding that "there's a lot of fun to be had during Fresher's Week" and that "cleaning up definitely isn't part of it."

The president of the Tennent's Society, Jamie MacEwen, at the University of Glasgow has nothing but praise for this act of graceful charity, stating "it's very kind of Tennent's to give students a helping hand on a very seshy return to uni".

Some Glasgow students have already enjoyed a quick, free spring clean – the team were on hand to wash their dishes and they enjoyed a can of lager afterwards.
