New Glasgow reality TV show set to air next month

The cast range from a club promoter to a nurse

Scottish fans of reality TV shows such as TOWIE and Made in Chelsea are in for a treat as Glasgow-based series Glow is set to air online next month.

The starting cast is made up of eleven individuals who are “young, stylish and glamorous” according to show bosses.

The series will be shown over a six-week timescale and will follow the traditional reality TV set up, incorporating its “own brand of Glaswegian style, charm and humour”.

An overwhelming 3,000 people signed up to be cast in Glow, but producers managed to narrow it down to five men and six women. Their jobs range from a club promoter to a nurse, meaning the show will be as “real” as it gets.

The youngest cast member is Jemma McMahon, a 22-year-old barmaid from Glasgow’s East End, while the oldest are 33-year-olds James Hamilton, a roofing company owner from Hamilton, and Brian Matthews, a night club owner.
