Campus WiFi has been hacked

Whoops, something went wrong

Campus WiFi experienced a massive crash due to a Denial of Service (DoS) attack.

The University of Exeter uses a system called Janet, a publicly-funded computer network, which claims to be the fastest computer network in the world.

The network has experienced a Denial of Service attack.

The attack has resulted in the network becoming unavailable, and as Janet operates at other unis, Exeter isn’t the only place to be experiencing problems.

People are fleeing campus

The University has said: “We are currently aware of issues accessing external websites from the University network, which may affect Office 365 access.

“This is effecting exehub, ELE and Turnitin, among other services.

“We are investigating the issue as a matter of urgency and updates will be posted on the Hot Issues page.

“Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”

All the apologies in the world aren’t going to get your coursework in on time though.
