Police and Fire Brigade called after ‘firework attack’ on Quartermile Sainsbury’s

So far there are no suspects

The police and fire brigade were called to the Sainsbury’s on Quartermile at around 7:30pm last night after reports that a firework was thrown inside the store.

So far, there have been no reports of injuries.

Luckily, apart from smoke and some debris, there has been no significant damage caused to the premises.

According to staff, once the fire alarm went off the store was quickly evacuated. It was later closed.

It is unknown whether the security cameras managed to properly record the incident and so far there are no suspects.
