Singles of the Week: Round One
The Tab gives back
Since Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and, if Edinburgh yaks are anything to go by, most of you are very (very) single, we thought we’d try our best to get you a date.
Ali, second year, Chinese
Do you have any middle names?
Yeah. Michael.
Salty snacks or desserts?
I like it salty. Oh, no, creamy desserts. Wait, that sounds weird. Chocolate, I’ll go with chocolate. Dark.
Have you brought your teddy to uni with you?
I don’t have a teddy.
What’s the last vegetable you’d ever want to be?
Err. Maybe like a leaf? A spinach leaf?
What’s your favourite night out in Edinburgh?
Opal Thursdays – Sugar club
What’s your favourite joke?
Have you heard the joke about the gestapo?
What’s your best chat up line?
Have you ever been to Jerusalem? Because you Israel-y fit.
What is your spirit animal?
A bear. A polar bear. A brown bear. Yeah.
Ali seems like a catch – as long as you don’t mind a boy that can’t make up his mind. His interview was twice as long because he spent a serious amount of time deliberating over his answer for every question.
His favourite night out signals his classier inclinations and we’ll bet a brown bear is great for a cuddle.
Meabh, third year, Social Anthropology
Do you have any middle names?
Bethany Anne
Salty snacks or desserts?
Salty snacks.
Have you brought your teddy to uni with you?
I haven’t, no.
What’s the last vegetable you’d ever want to be?
Maybe a courgette, because you’d always be confused wth a cucumber.
What’s your favourite night out in Edinburgh?
I actually don’t like going to clubs. I prefer pubs – maybe Brass Monkey?
What’s your favourite joke?
What do people say to these questions? I don’t have a favourite joke!
What’s your best chat up line?
Erm…
What is your spirit animal?
A lion. Because I’m fierce.
We found Meabh chilling in the Library Bar, and her answers indicate she’s quite cool, so make sure you’re her up to her standards before approaching. A few stellar answers make us think that Meabh would be pretty cool to date – she is fierce, after all.
