Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH)
Parts of Parker’s Piece were cordoned off by the police last night.
A Police spokesman told The Tab:
“Officers are investigating reports of violence which took place behind Parkside Pool in Mortimer Road, Cambridge, at about 10.30pm last night (Monday, May 16).
A 49-year-old man suffered serious, but not life threatening, head injuries and is currently in Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Two men, aged 38 and 50, both of no fixed address, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) and are currently in custody at Parkside Police Station.”
The Police cordon around the area was still in effect this morning.
