It happened again! Police and fire services reported outside the vale of Rheidol

They were rescuing a resident from his flat

Police cars and firefighters were once again seen outside the Vale of Rheidol pub in Aber on monday. They were there to rescue John Morris, 69, who was unable to get down the stairs to get to hospital.

WalesOnline reported that Mr Morris was hoisted over the roof by firefighters using a telescopic ladder and aerial platform, for the second time in two months.

Mr Morris lives above the Vale of Rheidol

Mr Morris is the owner of a cafe-turned-fishing tackle shop in town.

A Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Due to the narrowness of the stairway the ambulance crew were concerned about the welfare of the casualty in safely conveying him to the ambulance.

“Firefighters assisted ambulance members to place the casualty into a scooper stretcher before they transported the casualty to the ambulance using the aerial appliance.”
