You have to hand it to Faye and Teddy, after all they went through in the villa, they lasted the longest out of all the finalists that year. They lasted just under two years together.

In a post signed off with her dog, Faye said: “I wanted to let you know that after lots of time and consideration, Teddy and I have decided to go our separate ways. 2022 winners Ekin-Su and Davide split up 11 months after winning the show together, and tbh, I never saw this coming. Davide said on Instagram: “Ekin-Su and I are no longer together. I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best. I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time. I will continue to support Ekin in anyway possible.”

via ITV

Samie and Tom met in the South Africa villa and finished in third position. Shortly after heading back home to the UK they made it official, but around a month later they called it quits.

A source told The Sun: “Samie and Tom have sadly decided to call it a day. There is a lot of love and respect there but it just wasn’t going anywhere. The distance between them was too much and they are both really focused on their careers post Love Island.” They also got back together for a bit, but within weeks it was all over again.

Ron and Lana – series nine second place

Broke up after three months.

via ITV

Winter Islanders Ron and Lana broke up three months after becoming official in the South Africa villa. Lana, who lives in Manchester, and Ron who lives in Essex, said they failed to make their relationship work because of distance.

“Lana and Ron really put everything into their romance and have tried to make things work for some time now. Unfortunately, they have decided to separate, which is a decision they have made amicably and of course, they still remain good friends,” a source said at the time.

Broke up after two months.

via ITV

Sammy and Jess broke up two months after being named series 10 winners, and a source told the Mail Online “Jess and Sammy have called it quits. Things have changed since leaving the villa and Jess has realised they’re better off as friends.”

Sammy then released a statement on Instagram about what happened, and said the two of them had a “private conversation regarding our relationship” but that it was “left up in the air as Jess is still away and we haven’t had a chance to speak in person.” He went on to say that to see “via the media that we had officially broken up came as a complete shock.”

Tyrique and Ella – series 10 third place

Broke up after six months.

via ITV

After just six months together, Love Island 2023 finalists Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde split up. They had previously broken up for a few weeks, but got back together in an attempt to give their relationship one last go.

A source told MailOnline: “Ella and Tyrique have decided it’s time to go their separate ways. They have such love for each other, but they often struggle to get along and as viewers saw in the villa, they’re always arguing.

“This time, things have ended badly… and they have both removed all recent photographs of each other from their respective Instagram profiles, as well as all Snapchat content. They have unfollowed each other as well… it certainly feels like this breakup is final.”
