Love Island 2022 couples: Predicting who will break up and who will end up married

Love Island 2022 ended three weeks ago but everyone is still obsessed with the couples and their lives. This year Love Island produced many strong couples, with a lot of the finalists being there from day one, shout-out to Andrew and Tasha for being coupled up on day one by the public and making it to the final.

Every year Love Island produces iconic couples like Chloe and Toby who are still going strong, and then there’s couples like Amber and Greg who split pretty much as soon as the show was over. And there are even some marriages and babies thanks to Love Islanders such as Nathan and Cara! Some couples from this year do appear stronger than others so far so we have our predictions on who is going to last the long-run and whose relationships will dry up when the brand deals run out.

Dami and Indiyah

Prediction: I’m sad about it, but will break up

Dami and Indiyah were very popular with the public during the show, but in reality the public loved Indiyah so Dami was carried along with her. Since coming out of the villa they have been seen together many times and have done appearances together such as going on the Capital Xtra breakfast show. In this interview they spoke about their “blue theory” which is that during the show any time a major event happened to the couple one of them was wearing blue, or they were near something blue.

In the villa is was very obvious that Dami was immature in many aspects such as how he treated Tasha, and how he acted during Casa Amor. Although they seem to be going strong at the moment, even talking about viewing houses to buy together, his new found fame may not be a good mix with his immaturity.

Tasha and Andrew

Prediction: Marriage

Throughout their time in the villa they probably had the most bumps out of any of the couples, with Tasha being unsure at the start to Andrew licking Coco’s “tit or whatever”. But after every bump in the road they came out stronger than ever, ending the season as official boyfriend and girlfriend.

Since coming out of the villa as an official couple they can’t stay away from each other, from Tasha’s birthday celebrations in The Shard to the pair visiting Andrews family home in Guernsey. They have now even moved in together, sharing Tasha’s flat in London. During their time in the villa Andrew and Tasha spoke about future marriage and children together, I hope this becomes real in the future.

Luca and Gemma

Prediction: Break up in under a year

Luca and Gemma were the runners-up of this year’s Love Island, despite Luca receiving backlash against his “controlling” behaviour.

Their relationship seems to be acting up for the cameras since leaving the villa with the couple unnaturally documenting weird “milestones” of their relationship, such as Luca arriving at Gemma’s family home and their first food shop as a couple at M&S.

Since leaving the villa Gemma has already signed a six figure deal with Pretty Little Thing so she’ll be mega busy, outside of the villa how much longer will they survive?

Ekin-Su and Davide

Prediction: Marriage <3

Ekinde were our official Love Island 2022 winners, and rightfully so. They provided most the entertainment of the season, especially self-proclaimed drama queen Ekin-Su.

Just like any couple they had their rough patches, such as Ekin’s secret kiss on the balcony with Jay. But after a few days apart they re-coupled and became stronger than ever.

Since leaving the villa they have been inseparable, with Ekin-Su going to visit Davide’s home in Manchester and Ekin giving Davide a tour of London. Fans especially loved the celebration Davide threw for Ekin’s birthday. From the start of the coupling in the villa, fans said how they seemed like an old married couple, and we are all hoping this becomes a reality for them.
