  • Ffion Williams started writing for The Tab in 2024 and enjoyed writing articles ranging from politics to student life and events. In May 2025, Ffion became the Co-Editor in Chief for The Birmingham Tab, a role she is delighted to embrace.
  • Ffion is the Head Angel at Urban Angels Birmingham. In this role, she is responsible for leading a regional team with a particular focus on engaging students with the organisation.
  • Ffion served as a member of the Welsh Youth Parliament from 2021-2023. During this period, she delivered speeches in the Senedd and advocated for young people to government ministers.

Experience

From her roles as Urban Angels Birmingham's Head Angel and a past Welsh Youth Parliament Member, Ffion has media experience in raising awareness for topical issues such as sexual harassment and nightclub safety. She also has written and delivered speeches representing the interests of young people and women. Ffion enjoys writing for The Tab as it allows her to expand her portfolio and hone her journalistic voice. Ffion is incredibly excited to be Co-Editor in Chief as it allows her to support other writers while continuing to strengthen her own skill set.

Education

Ffion is currently in her second year of a BA History & Politics degree at the University of Birmingham, having finished first year with a high 2:1 average. As part of her degree, Ffion regularly writes critical essays evaluating the views of scholars and relating these views to contemporary examples. Prior to this, Ffion completed her A Levels in History, English Literature, Mathematics and the Welsh Baccalaureate.
