Love Island’s Priya spills the tea on what’s really going on with Joey Essex after the NTAs

Love Island’s Priya was spotted getting cosy with Joey Essex at the NTAs last week, and she’s spoken out about what really went on between them. 

Just hours after she announced her split from Aidan, the Islander was caught on video sitting very close to Joey, and they reportedly chatted for hours at the NTAs afterparty. 

“Joey and Priya really hit it off and got close. They’ve swapped numbers, and we’ll have to see what happens. Obviously Priya is very fresh to showbiz, and just out her connection with Aidan so we’ll see,” a source told The Sun.

Now, Priya herself has spilt the tea in an interview with reality TV TikToker Tavanah Alexis. And it sounds like it was flirty. “So it’s not a Christmas at the Murphys, but is it a Christmas at the Essexs?” the interviewer joked, and Priya didn’t say no. 

“We had a nice night the other night. We had a chat, you know, it was fun and games,” she revealed. “I’m just gonna say, watch this space.” 

So, does that mean they’re still chatting? Priya definitely seemed a bit giddy while talking about Joey, and it sounds like she wants everyone to speak about them. Interesting.

In the same interview, Priya chatted more about what went down with Aidan. “Me and I are better off as friends. At the end of the day, we gave it a good shot in the villa, we gave it a good shot on the outside. No bad blood. Nothing happened. Very mutual agreement,” she said.

“We just thought if it’s not inevitably going to end up in a relationship… Me, I don’t want to date someone for six months, 12 months, if I’m not going to be someone’s girlfriend. I date for a relationship. Met the friends, met the family, so it’s like if we both didn’t see it going into something more serious, then it’s just better to keep it as friends.”

She said she has “nothing but love” for Aidan, but he’s just not ready for a relationship, and that’s what got in between them. Oh dear!
