Love Island’s Priya reveals what she thinks of Lorenzo and Julia’s split and it’s savage

After Love Island’s Lorenzo and Julia both confirmed their breakup with Instagram statements, Priya has weighed in on the split – and she certainly saw it coming.

Lorenzo and Julia were the third couple to break up in one week, following Yasmin and Tommy and Priya and Aidan. It was a crazy couple of days, especially after Lorenzo and Julia looked united and in love at the NTAs. But according to Priya, the winners were never going to last. 

“Yes, [I saw it coming]. Just because, getting to know them both in the villa, I think they had a great time dating, but personally I didn’t see longevity for that relationship. I didn’t see it blossoming into an actual relationship,” she told reality TV TikToker Tavanah Alexis.

“I think they’re compatible for dating, but they’re not compatible in a long-term relationship. But then Lorenzo has never been in a long-term relationship, so who is Lorenzo compatible with? I don’t know.”

Priya continued: “Personally, I didn’t see that becoming a relationship, just compatibility-wise. I think they’re very different people. Very different people. They had a lot of chemistry, they had a lot in common, but I think when you get into the nitty-gritty of a relationship, there are a lot of things that I could see them disagreeing on.”

Lorenzo and Julia apparently had a major bust-up at the NTAs, which led to them splitting that night. Julia then shared a sad statement on Instagram, writing: “Since leaving the villa, we’ve come to the decision to go our separate ways. Some chapters are special even if they’re not meant to last forever.”

The Love Islander wished Julia all the best, as she knows first-hand what going through a breakup in the public eye is like, but said they’re not “on a level” where she’d reach out. “I wouldn’t say she’s one of my friends from the villa, but I wish her all the best and I hope that she’s obviously okay,” she said.
