Guys, we’ve got another clue about what Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes have been up to lately
It’s super wholesome
Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes have been almost completely absent from the internet for the best part of a year, but another little clue suggests they’ve been keeping very busy offline. The YouTube power couple, better known online as Zoella and PointlessBlog, haven’t uploaded a vlog since Christmas Eve 2025.

Zoe’s Instagram has been equally quiet. Her most recent post was on 1st January, when she shared one of her familiar photo dumps filled with family snaps and wholesome lifestyle content.
Since then, there’s been a bit of a Zoe-shaped hole online, with fans left wondering what exactly the couple have been up to. One explanation is their two daughters, Ottilie Rue, five, and Novie Nell, two.
Ottilie started school last September, and Zoe and Alfie have previously spoken about wanting to be more careful about how much of their eldest daughter’s life they share online now that she is school-aged.
But now, another tiny detail has caught people’s attention, and it involves a birthday cake.
Over the weekend, an Instagram account shared a picture of a cake made for Ottie’s fifth birthday.

The baker has previously made cakes for Zoe and Alfie and has tagged both of them in posts before. This particular cake was also made with their eldest daughter’s name on it.
While Zoe and Alfie haven’t publicly confirmed that the cake was theirs, the baker appeared to confirm it in the comments by liking specific comments from followers asking about the family.
The cake itself was festival-themed, complete with a miniature bell tent and a pair of tiny wellies.
The baker captioned the post: “What a great way to mark the end of ‘festival season’ than with this pretty, fun cake. My lovely clients forwarded a design they had created with the help of AI and asked me to recreate something very similar, with the emphasis on a fairly paired back cake that could be disassembled and cut quickly.
“They asked if the bell tent on top could be made with a view to it being kept as a momento. The AI created bell tent did feature lights so I knew I had to include these for a touch of birthday magic. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the back of the cake, but of course, no festival themed cake would be complete without a miniature pair of wellies!
“Happy 5th birthday and I hope you enjoyed your special celebrations x”

The post has since become a little harder to scrutinise, though, as the baker has now switched off the comments. The reference to AI has also been removed from the caption.
While it’s not exactly a dramatic Zoella comeback, the cake does offer another glimpse into what Zoe and Alfie may have been doing away from Instagram and YouTube. A festival-themed fifth birthday cake complete with a tiny tent and wellies sounds pretty on-brand for the family.
