Inside the wild ‘secret deal’ Morena made with MAFS Australia producers an hour before her exit

Last night was definitely the most dramatic commitment ceremony yet. If you thought the drama between Morena and Tony couldn’t get any thicker, it turns out she had a secret deal with the MAFS producers in the lead up to her chaotic exit.

As the commitment ceremony kicked off, it looked as though Tony was going to be sitting down with the experts alone. But then, we heard the doors open, and Morena arrived with a bang. “Did you really think I wasn’t going to come?” Morena said to the group. “Did you really think I was going to give him the last word?”.

Sitting with the experts, Morena went on to say Tony didn’t have a problem with her personality, and claimed his issue was actually her age. She brought up his shock revelation that he’d decided he wanted to have children. The experts also said this was “new information” to them, as Morena branded it “another excuse”.

It ended with the couple vowing out of the experiment. “Good riddance,” Morena said. She then got up and walked straight out.

‘They wanted her gone immediately’

An insider has told Yahoo Lifestyle that Morena’s exit was planned with the producers. And all of this happened just one hour before the ceremony began. “By that point in the experiment, Morena had packed her bags and told producers, ‘let me go home right now’,” they said.

“Realising how serious she was, Alex [the show’s executive producer] then made Morena a promise that if she ‘saw her storyline out’ by attending the commitment ceremony, the experts would ‘go easy on her’. They let her have her say and then let her leave directly after – rather than then having to sit through all of the others couples’ chats on the sofa.”

Morena was then pictured outside the apartments, surrounded by all of her things. “Usually there’s a whole process that must be followed when someone leaves the show to prevent press seeing them and spoilers leaking,” the insider added.

“[Producers were] literally waving her out of the door and watching her struggle alone with her luggage. They wanted her gone immediately, and she was happy to finally be free.” Ouch.
