A comment Tony made to his MAFS Australia 2025 bride Morena was cut from the show as it was deemed too brutal for TV. In recent episodes, the pair have struggled to make a connection. Morena has said she doesn’t feel noticed by Tony, and has accused him of going home a lot, and being distant in their pairing.

But, it turns out this was only just the beginning. In scenes that were cut from the show, Tony admitted he really wasn’t feeling his new partnership and instead wanted his ex wife. Yes, really! Tony entered the MAFS Australia 2025 experiment still legally married to his former partner, and it sounds as though that relationship is still in his mind.

“He literally said, ‘I’m still in love with my wife,’ and you could hear a pin drop,” a source said of a cut scene in one commitment ceremony. Morena is said to have “just sat there, completely blindsided. She had no idea he felt that way.”

The source added: “The experts were shocked too but instead of digging into it the conversation was just moved along. The producers must have told them not to make a big deal out of it.”

They added Tony was “telling people off-camera he wasn’t crazy about the age gap. He thought he’d be matched with someone younger.” The moment was swiftly edited out by show bosses, who deemed it too much for the episode.

In the messages Morena said: “He [Tony] told everyone at the commitment ceremony, which is this week, that he loves his wife. He told directors and producers, ‘Bring my wife in’.”

Morena then claimed producers told her to stop talking about Tony being married, as it wasn’t going to be brought up on the show. “I didn’t let it go and I still haven’t let it go,” she said. “He loves his wife. I’ve actually told him that. Why didn’t you chase your wife instead of this experiment?”.
