Jacqui reveals how she *really* felt when Ryan dropped her at their MAFS wedding
Did she want the moment cut from the show like Ryan did?
At their MAFS Australia 2025 wedding, the moment everyone is talking about (amongst many others) was when Ryan dropped new bride Jacqui on the floor. In front of all their wedding guests during what should have been a romantic embrace, she fell straight to the ground.
Jacqui and Ryan’s wedding was a wild ride from start to finish. She had clear doubts about if they were a good match, and Ryan seemed more fussed that everyone knew loud and clear that he is a *warrior*.
Anyway, at the end of their ceremony things were looking at least slightly up. The couple took to the dance floor together. Then, as Ryan attempted to romantically tip Jacqui back in his arms, he dropped her flat on the floor. Awkward. Jacqui laughed it off, but Ryan took production aside and begged it be cut from the final edit.

He claimed it was to protect Jacqui’s dignity, but if we’re being honest with ourselves, it was probably more to protect his warrior image. “In terms of my identity as a warrior, instinctively I’m very protective. I’m more concerned how it’s going to present for her. She doesn’t deserve that. She deserves a little more dignity than that,” he said.
Regardless, the moment was kept in the episode. Incredible decision from Channel 9, I have to say. Speaking after her wedding, Jacqui has revealed how she really felt about the moment being kept on the show. She has still laughed it off, but said she was seriously worried about how Ryan would react.

“I enjoyed watching it back a lot more than I thought, I couldn’t stop laughing. The wedding was so, so fun,” she told 9Entertainment. “My dress was a bit like a duvet, so I had a comfortable fall – it didn’t hurt, and I just thought it was really funny.”

But, given producers didn’t agree to edit the moment out of the show, Jacqui was worried Ryan would then give up on the experiment altogether.
She added: “My biggest concern on the day was that I was going to get a runaway groom, or I’d get to the aisle and there’d be no one there – you know, just thinking worst case scenarios. Then as soon as he dropped me, his mood completely switched… I panicked.”
Is this a sign of what’s to come?!
