Eliot reveals MAFS Australia bride he wishes he was matched with – it’s definitely not Lauren

After quitting the show following just three days with his bride Lauren, Eliot Donovan has revealed which woman from the MAFS Australia 2025 cast he wishes the experts had matched him with. Surprise, surprise – it’s definitely not the same person he jilted at the honeymoon.

Eliot has been a character since the moment he stepped foot on MAFS Australia 2025. He made it very clear he had a set list of “non-negotiables” that he looks for in a partner. If the bride he was paired with didn’t live up to these, he was adamant he would quit. And he’s a man of his word. Just three days into the experiment, he packed his bags on the honeymoon and left bride Lauren behind.

In an interview, Eliot has since shared which of the brides he wishes he’d seen at the end of the aisle instead. He revealed he thought he’d be a better match for Katie, and said her groom Tim is “weird”. Fair enough.

“Tim was a bit weird, we didn’t really get along at the bucks party. He wants short, petite and blonde. The way he dealt with it was just brutal,” Eliot said on the MAFS Funny podcast. “He wouldn’t even hug Katie, like she had some deadly virus. I was like dude, give that f*cking girl a hug.”

He said he would “really love” the idea of being matched with Katie. Eliot added: “About me being matched with Katie, that’s actually something I really love. You know what I loved about Katie? Her parents were so gorgeous, they were really down-to-earth country people that loved her.”

He also said he reached out to Katie to wish her all the best, given how bad her relationship with Tim has been. “I reached out to her and said, ‘Hope you’re doing all right. You’re going to have so many guys in your DMs now so you’ve got nothing to worry about’,” Eliot explained.
