Eliot’s mum gave Lauren shock warning about her son on their MAFS Australia wedding day

By now, you’ll have heard all about Eliot Donovan dramatically calling it quits on MAFS Australia. Right from the moment he saw Lauren on his wedding day he was laying the foundations to walk away. Three days in, his packed his honeymoon bags back up again (I’m not even sure he unpacked) and headed home. But maybe Lauren should have seen this coming, as she was given a warning about Eliot on her MAFS wedding day.

From the very start, it was pretty clear Eliot wasn’t sure about his match with Lauren. He posed a list of “non-negotiables” in a partner, pretty much none of which matched Lauren. When they left for their honeymoon, he was already talking about giving up.

Well now, in a pretty wild turn of events, it seems Lauren had all the warning signs there. She told 9Entertainment Eliot’s own mum took her aside on their wedding day to warn her about her son. Ouch?!

“Even his mum said that he’s difficult, so I should’ve just listened to her and left the morning after,” Lauren said. Eliot later spoke about their split, and said: “We had conversations very early on where we realised we didn’t align with those big pieces of the puzzle – difference in family goals, difference in lifestyles.”

Lauren apparently asked Eliot off-camera once more to stick around, but his decision was made up. “I’m quite a decisive person. If I make a decision there’s not really much that’ll change my mind on it,” he said.
