Just days into MAFS Australia, it’s not looking good for new couple Lauren Hall and Eliot Donovan. Can we even really call them a new couple? They got married on the show, and then just three days in Eliot quit – whilst still on their honeymoon.

He reeled off a list of “non-negotiables” before saying he felt sticking things out with Lauren was “pointless”. At that moment, he packed his bags and said goodbye to the experiment.

But, if you thought that was the end of their story, think again. By no means are Lauren or Eliot done with MAFS Australia 2025. They are both set to return to the experiment, and it’s going to be explosive. Here’s what happens.

Eliot has a one-to-one with the MAFS Australia 2025 experts

Following his shock exit, Eliot comes back to the show for a chat with expert John. John tries to get him to come back to the show with Lauren, and address his “toxic” patterns. Of course, Eliot is having none of it and sticks to his guns about wanting to leave.

Lauren becomes a MAFS Australia bride once again!

Lauren is later revealed to be one of the MAFS Australia 2025 intruder brides. She’s matched with Clint, a 43-year-old pro golfer and business owner. At first she’s quite reserved, probably the Eliot effect, but soon things ease up and she and Clint appear to get on well.

After Lauren is announced as an intruder bride, it looks as though Eliot has a big moment when he returns. Let’s just say, I don’t think people were expecting him back.

Eliot is reported to have “suddenly appeared back on set” after his exit, leaving cast and crew “in a state of disbelief”. He arrived late for a dinner party, and Eliot returning reportedly “sent ripples through the cast.”

“Lauren and Clint had just started to get comfortable with each other when Eliot showed up out of the blue,” an insider told Daily Mail Australia. “The look on Lauren’s face was priceless – she was completely gobsmacked. And Clint? He was not impressed at all. Clint let Eliot absolutely have it.”

They added: “Eliot feels like he was misunderstood. He’s back to clear his name, but isn’t apologetic about his behaviour. Him and Lauren were a complete mismatch, and hasn’t changed his mind about wanting out of their romance.”

Producers are reportedly loving the unexpected drama, and said Eliot’s return is a “game-changer” for the season. “This is the kind of twist that makes MAFS must-watch TV,’ another insider said. “The love triangle between Eliot, Lauren, and Clint is going to keep viewers glued to their screens.”

Eliot will also be matched with someone else, he then kicks off his MAFS Australia 2025 journey once again with Veronica. She’s 32 and a personal trainer – so ticks off the “fitness” non-negotiable he had. But wait, didn’t he say he wanted someone under 25? Uh-oh.

Lauren and Eliot clash, and she calls him repulsive

Upon meeting again at a dinner party, Lauren and Eliot don’t exactly squash everything. They argue about what happened between them. Speaking of his return, Lauren says: “I turned around and I saw him swishing his hair around and I just found it to be really repulsive.” Ouch.
