During MAFS UK 2024 there was plenty of evidence bits of the show was staged – and now it looks as though the reunion has kept this up. This week we saw the 2024 cast come back together for one last dinner party. It promised a lot of revelations.

It’s constantly said that parts of the chaos are heightened and come across differently on the show to how it did in real life. And the 2024 cast being the 2024 cast, they’ve called it out themselves. They said the show sneakily cut parts of their conversations, with one quite literally saying “this is a TV SHOW for your entertainment.”

The MAFS UK 2024 reunion was actually filmed across three days

One huge hint the MAFS UK 2024 reunion special was staged is that it was filmed across THREE DAYS. Oh, you thought it was a straight forward dinner party where we saw the authentic drama as it happened? No no, three days of production went into it.

Shona has revealed that after filming for the night, the cast had to go back to filming the day after. She said they did this in their “manky” outfits, whilst “very hungover.”

She said: “We film reunions over two days and then if you’re needed, which I was every time, you have to film on the third morning after filming ALL day for the dinner party so your dress is manky and if you’re like me, very hungover. But you have to do your makeup again and I just slept in my eye makeup because I couldn’t do it like my make up girlies did!”

A crucial part of the Kieran and Kristina drama was cut, so all the chaos surrounding it was staged

One of the biggest parts of the reunion was that Kieran had kissed 2023 bride Erica, and hadn’t told Kristina. For the entirety of the episode, everyone was treading on egg shells over when Kristina was going to find out. However, Kieran has said this part of the show was all set up – because Kristina already knew all about it. Oh?!

He said on his Instagram story he told Kristina all about Erica before the dinner party. Despite it being said during the reunion he hadn’t told her yet. “Oh and for your information, I already told Kristina off camera before… and her reaction was very different,” he said.

Erica has also confirmed this is how it happened. She wrote on her story as the show was airing: “Haven’t watched tonight’s episode yet as I’m busy but just to clarify, Kristina already knew and had been told off camera what had happened which is why I brought it up at the dinner table.”

She added: “Please remember this is a TV SHOW for your entertainment and it’s literally not that deep.”

People have noticed the cast were given ‘stage directions’

Ummm, so it looks like that big dramatic scene between loved-up couple Matt and Shona wasn’t all it seems. During the episode, Matt and Shona came back to declare the experiment can work, despite not even being matched on it. Matt wrote a soppy letter for Shona, and it was all a bit adorable. At the end, he presented a promise ring, which Shona has since said means she’s now “semi engaged”.

But in the same Instagram post, Shona shared a picture of the full letter Matt wrote. People on Reddit have noted at the end it says “**gives ring**”. One person said: “Gives ring? Stage directions.” People have noted it doesn’t really feel like Matt would need reminding to hold the ring out at this point, and instead it feels like the moment was set up by producers.

Loads of scenes that added context were cut from the MAFS UK reunion

The MAFS UK cast members have revealed loads of parts of the reunion were cut from the final edit. And most of the time, this meant important context to their dramas was cut, to make everything feel a bit more heightened.

Lacey has claimed quite a few key points of her argument with Nathan didn’t make the final cut, and Sacha revealed she insisted on reading out a prayer for everyone. There was also a lot of missing context as to why Lacey stormed out.

Sacha said on Instagram: “Just for the record [Lacey] said she needed to leave for her mental health. And we all told her to stay but she insisted on leaving. That’s why no-one went after her.

“And I did say I’m not convincing someone to stay if it’s not healthy for them to. She knows I was there for her. Including telling Kieran not to gang up on Lace when it’s nothing to do with him. I love both Nath and Lace.”
