This cut scene from the MAFS reunion proves Kieran and Kristina’s drama was staged

A massive tension throughout last night’s action-packed MAFS reunion was that Kieran secretly snogged the 2023 bride Erica in Edinburgh, and had to work up the courage to tell Kristina about it. Erica felt peeved off that Kieran was treating her like “a dirty little secret”. She eventually pressured Kieran into revealing their relationship at the dinner table, in front of everyone. But now Kieran and Erica have revealed that the actual night played out very differently to what we saw on screen.

Apparently Kieran actually pulled Kristina aside well before dinner and told her in private about him and Erica. Kieran wrote on his Instagram story: “Oh and for your information, I already told Krstina off camera before… and her reaction was very different.”

Erica has also confirmed this happened. She wrote on her story as the show was airing: “Haven’t watched tonight’s episode yet as I’m busy but just to clarify, Kristina already knew and had been told off camera what had happened which is why I brought it up at the dinner table.

“I wouldn’t have ever mentioned it or ‘blindsided’ her in front of everyone if she didn’t already know what was going to be said.

“Please remember this is a TV SHOW for your entertainment and it’s literally not that deep.”

Erica explained more about how the night really went down on the podcast You & Me, which she co-hosts with Meryl Williams from season one of The Traitors (really). She claimed she didn’t blindside Kristina at the dinner table, because Kristina already knew.

Apparently she and Kieran never dated – they’re just friends who Facetimed a lot and happened to kiss that one time after a few drinks. Erica said: “There’s like a clip of me being like, ‘I’m not a dirty little secret’ or something. I don’t know when I said that. I don’t think I would say that. I think someone said something to be about that, and I’ve repeated it, but they’ve only clipped me saying it.”

She continued, “It got to the point where we were halfway through the dinner party. He’d probably been in that mixer from like 12:00 in the afternoon and it was now like 6:00 at night. So in that whole time he said nothing, and he’s had every opportunity to say it.

“I said to him, ‘You need to say something, because if not, it’s going to come out.’ I knew the honesty box was coming.

“We stopped for a quick break halfway through the dinner party. All cameras are off, he goes around to Kristina, and says, ‘By the way, just to let you know, me and Erica did have a kiss. It was like two months ago, but I just wanted to tell you off-camera.'”

Erica claims Kristina reacted really differently to the news in her private conversation with Kieran, compared to what we saw in the MAFS reunion.

“She was angry. She was like, ‘Well, why didn’t you tell me this two months ago?’ and was p*ssed.”

Erica says the producers encouraged her to bring up this drama again during the honesty box section of the show.

She also clarified she wasn’t crying over Kieran keeping their meeting secret. Apparently a whole group of them were upset when Tasha came in alone, and they realised the couple had split.

Kieran seems to feel the whole drama was a bit overblown. He wrote on Instagram: “Omfg it was a kiss. In a normal world, you would be ringing your ex months later telling them you’ve kissed someone?”
