Tasha and Paul had a heartbreaking split before MAFS UK reunion, so what happened?

Tasha and Paul are both appearing on the MAFS UK 2023 reunion, but slightly awkwardly they split up before the whole  thing was filmed.

The pair met during the previous season of MAFS UK and until now were the only couple still together aside from Matt and Shona.

Both Tasha and Paul released separate statements regarding their MAFS UK breakup, with Tasha writing: “It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that Paul and I have decided to part ways.

“There isn’t any major reason, we have just come to terms with the fact that we are not right for each other.

“Paul is the loveliest guy I’ve ever met, and I’m grateful for the time we’ve shared together and I’m glad that we can remain friends.

“I’m utterly heartbroken that I’m having to write this post, but it is best for both of us. Thank you to everyone who has supported us as a couple. I hope you can now support us on our individual journeys.”

Paul’s statement said: “It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that Tasha and I have decided to part ways.  There isn’t any major reason, we have just come to terms with the fact that we are not right for each other.

“Tasha is the most loving and caring woman I’ve ever met, and I’m grateful for the time we’ve shared together and I’m glad that we can remain friends.

According to a source from the Daily Mail the pair “struggled to see a future together” and “drifted apart” as they lived apart.

The source claimed: “Tasha and Paul tried to make their relationship work for several months but have decided to end things between them.

“They fell in love while filming Married at First Sight UK but struggled to see a future, they continued to live separately and in the end, grew apart.”

Paul spoke to The Daily Mail about their split, admitting that ultimately their MAFS UK 2023 relationship ended because he wasn’t sure if Tasha was the “right person” to move for.

He revealed: “My issue was figuring out if Tasha was the right person to move up North for.

“I’d say if we lived in London it might be easier, but to sacrifice my life and drop everything for her is a big move and I just wasn’t sure about it. And that was the issue.

‘Tasha is extremely close with her family. She has all her nephews and nieces, which she loves. I had my family and my friends, and I’m always busy with boxing.

“I think if there was a middle ground, but we just couldn’t figure it out, which was kind of sad.”
