There’s a theory Kylie Jenner is wearing black to help Timothee Chalamet and it’s SO cute

She’s been wearing black dresses every time, including at the BAFTAs, and a theory has now been drawn up about the reason behind her outfit choices, while Timothee usually wears glitzy, glamorous get-ups.

Kylie Jenner continues to wear lowkey black dresses at each awards night where she supports Timothee. She’s known for her glitzy eye-catching pieces, but for some reason, whenever she’s there to clap for her man, she’s not prepared to take center-stage. At the BAFTAs, she wore a vintage John Galliano 1995 sheer black dress, and it was iconic.

The other day, she was seen out with Timothee wearing a backless black sequin gown in Berlin, and back in September, she wore a skin-tight, black Schiaparelli dress for Paris Fashion Week. For the Golden Globes, Kylie wore a bit more sparkle than usual – but of course, she was still more lowkey than usual in a black ensemble dress.

Just days ago, she clapped for Timothee unexpectedly at the Santa Barbara film awards, where she showed off her millions with a huge diamond ring. Yet Kylie never joins him on the red carpet, because she wants to ensure he gets the recognition he deserves for his film appearances, and even once secretly skipped the carpet and turned up with her mom, Kris Jenner.

A theory has been drawn up by Timothee and Kylie’s supporters that she’s wearing black so he gets most of the attention. Kylie knows her outfits often draw criticism and a lot of eyes, so by wearing a lowkey color that means she blends in with others, she’s giving him the space and recognition she feels he deserves.

She mouthed, “It’s me,” at the BAFTAs, which wasn’t quite so lowkey, but David Tennant did call her out for being a lookalike just before. One Reddit user said: “I wonder if Kylie is choosing to wear black dresses on purpose during the award shows/premieres so the focus could be on Timothee and the outfits he chooses to wear?”

Someone else agreed and commented: “I like this theory. I haven’t even seen pictures of her on the red carpet. As much as EAT THE RICH they seem like they actually really like each other.” Some people joked that they’d welcome a distraction from Timothee’s outfits, such as that pink Cartier vest he wore recently.
