Right, here’s what went down between Grace and Marcus Rashford before Love Island All Stars

I need answers

Since she stepped foot in the Love Island All Stars villa, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the rumours Grace Jackson was dating Marcus Rashford. Apparently she dumped him to go back on the show? Was that a smart move? Did she fumble the bag? What really went down?

In a preview of the episode tonight, Grace finally spills. Over by the pool Olivia, Grace and Catherine are chatting about life outside of the villa and Olivia asks Grace: “What have you done since the show? Have you been dating anyone…no footballers? Marcus Rashford?” Grace gives them the score on what really happened, from her point of view.

But was what actually reported at the time? Here’s a rundown of all the details we know about the apparent relationship Grace Jackson and Marcus Rashford had before Love Island All Stars.

Last year it was reported Grace was dating footballer, Marcus Rashford

In December, so literally a month before Love Island All Stars, it was reported Grace Jackson and Marcus Rashford were an item. However, by that time, it was said they had already been dating in secret for months.

The pair both live in Manchester. Marcus is obviously a footballer in the city, and Grace makes big connections working as an influencer after Love Island. Apparently, through their connections they met.

A pal told The Sun: “Marcus and Grace have been quietly spending time together and he has whisked her on numerous dates around Cheshire. They get on really well and have lots in common.” Grace was said to be “smitten” in the relationship, and it was said she “hooked up with Marcus” after ending things with Reuben, who she left the Love Island 2024 villa with.

Marcus had been single since summer 2023. According to the reports, Grace and Marcus were together for “several months”. But, at the time neither of them addressed the rumours.

It was then said Grace dumped Marcus to appear on Love Island All Stars

What made rumours about Grace and Marcus Rashford confusing was that Grace was rumoured for Love Island All Stars. She was said to be “in talks” way before the cast was officially announced. Then, the plot thickened when it was claimed Grace had dumped her footballer man… to be on All Stars!

A source told The Sun: “Grace realised that Marcus wasn’t serious about her and has unfollowed him on Instagram. She realised there was no future so she has decided to cut ties. When the opportunity arose to take part in Love Island All Stars this winter Grace jumped at the chance. She is still young in her career and is keen to maximise the exposure to help with her modelling work and net campaign deals.

“If she finds love on the show that’s a bonus, especially since she didn’t meet a suitable match in the summer. As far as she is concerned it’s Marcus’ loss, she is putting her best foot forward and can’t wait to enjoy some winter sun in gloomy January.”

Deeply, deeply iconic.
