How to watch Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s leaked video and everything they said about it

The clip provides vital context behind one of the biggest allegations against Justin

Just when we thought things were blowing over, it seems that the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni feud is far from over. It’s clear from their respective lawsuits against each other that there are different accounts of what went down over the course of filming it Ends With Us. But the video of Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively chatting unscripted has changed a lot of public opinion on who’s in the wrong.

Posted online by Justin’s legal team, the clip shows the two actors laughing whilst dancing and chatting about their personal lives, with some viewers claiming they had more chemistry when not in character than they did in the movie.

However, the video has been interpreted differently by both Blake and Justin’s representatives, with Blake’s team claiming that it had been released in an effort to “get ahead of the damaging evidence against [Justin].”

Here’s what was said in the clip and what Justin and Blake claim it proves

Released to Daily Mail, the clip shows all three takes from a dance scene, where Justin and Blake were caught chatting out of character. The take, which Blake had previously claimed had no audio, was intended to be used as a slow motion shot. In it, the pair danced, joked about the size of Justin’s nose, and even spoke about their spouses. But the footage also shows the critical context behind Blake’s claim that her co-star sexually harassed her while filming the dance scene by dragging his lips down her neck and telling her “it smells so good”.

The footage starts with the co-stars discussing whether it would be better for them to chat or kiss during the montage, with Blake saying talking would be “more romantic” and explaining that the mystery behind their conversation adds to the story; “They’re never going to find out”.

You can watch the full footage here.

At one point, Justin nuzzles into Blake and jokes if he is getting his beard on her, and she responds that she’s probably getting spray tan on him. The clip then shows Justin reply “it smells good” before they both laugh. Blake then clarifies that the smell is actually from her body makeup.

Justin and Blake then discuss their spouses, with Blake explaining how she and Ryan Reynolds “talk all the time”, whilst Justin claims that he and his wife, Emily, sometimes stare at each other “for 10, literally like we’ve done it for five minutes”.

Laughing at this, Blake adds how she and Ryan can’t stop talking to one another, to which Justin replies: “Oh, I think that’s cute. You guys are really cute.”

Awkwardly, she replies “I think it’s more than cute” which he hastily agrees with, adding “I think you guys are amazing.”

The raw footage shot while filming It Ends With Us comes complete with audio and was released by the actor’s production company, Wayfarer, and his lawyer Bryan Freedman, who previously said the actor has “nothing to hide”.

However, Blake’s legal team claim the “damning” video proves otherwise. Her legal team claimed the video only proves that Blake was uncomfortable during the scene, and that it had been released in “another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public.

“Justin Baldoni may hope that this latest stunt will get ahead of the damaging evidence against him, but the video itself is damning.”

Using the scene to defend their case, they claimed that Justin’s behaviour only corroborates to Blake’s complaint: “The video shows Mr. Baldoni repeatedly leaning in toward Ms. Lively, attempting to kiss her, kissing her forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, flicking her lip with his thumb, caressing her, telling her how good she smells, and talking with her out of character.

“Every frame of the released footage corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her Complaint.”

The previous claim that there was no intimacy coordinator on set was again highlighted, as Blake’s legal representatives claim this scene was unscripted and not discussed before. They added: “Any woman who has been inappropriately touched in the workplace will recognise Ms. Lively’s discomfort.”

Referring to Blake’s opinion that the two of them should talk rather than kiss in the montage, they added: “They will recognise her attempts at levity to try to deflect the unwanted touching. No woman should have to take defensive measures to avoid being touched by their employer without their consent.

“We are continuing our efforts to require Mr. Baldoni and his associates to answer in court, under oath, rather than through manufactured media stunts.”
