Wait, Blake Lively apparently sent Justin Baldoni this weird Game of Thrones text?!

She compared herself, Ryan Reynolds and a ‘celebrity friend’ to very controversial characters

Right, so Justin Baldoni is officially suing Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and their teams for a truly eye-watering $400 million (£329 million). Justin Baldoni claims Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds ruined his reputation with the claim that he sexually harassed Blake Lively and organised negative media coverage about her. There’s loads of new evidence about the production of It Ends With Us in Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit, including one truly bizarre text message. Blake Lively compared their situation to Game of Thrones characters?

So, in the lawsuit, Justin Baldoni complains Blake Lively used her celebrity connections to pressure him into changing the script for the rooftop scene in It Ends With Us.

The document describes a meeting “where Lively summoned Baldoni to her New York penthouse where Baldoni was greeted by Ryan Reynolds, who launched into enthusiastic praise for Lively’s version of the scene. Hours later, as the meeting was ending, a famous, and famously close, friend of Reynolds and Lively, walked into the room and similarly began praising Lively’s script. Baldoni understood the subtext: he needed to comply with Livey’s direction for the script”.

The document doesn’t name the “megacelebrity” friend of Blake Lively.

Later on, Justin texted Blake about how the behaviour of Ryan Reynolds and the “megacelebrity” “didn’t feel great” for him. Blake Lively sent some very long messages back. She wrote “Both Ryan and (blank) have established themselves as absolute titans as writers and storytellers outside of their primary gig – just singing or just acting” and “I’m the luckiest motherf*cker on the planet to have them as my ‘Dance Moms’ level stage moms. They are embarrassingly effusive.”

Blake Lively then compared the whole situation to Game of Thrones. She wrote, “If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better. Becaue my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really, we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.”

Blake Lively’s text to Justin Baldoni

She appears to be comparing herself to Daenerys Targaryen (whose name isn’t actually Khaleesi) and then Ryan Reynolds and the “megacelebrity” to Daenerys’s dragons – Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion.

Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit extensively analysed the possible meaning of Blake Lively’s Game of Thrones reference. The document concludes, “The message could not have been clearer. Baldoni was not just dealing with Lively. He was also facing Lively’s ‘dragons’, two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities in the world, who were not afraid to make things very difficult for him.”

Game of Thrones viewers seem to be rather confused by Blake Lively’s text to Justin Baldoni. Some people wondered whether Blake Lively had actually watched the part of Game of Thrones where Daenerys kills millions of people, her dragons die, and she gets stabbed by her boyfriend.

Someone tweeted, “The fact that Blake Lively refers to herself as Khaleesi from GOT is kinda nuts. Did she miss where Daenerys became a villain at the end of the series?”

I think Blake Lively never watched Game of Thrones. Khaleesi and her dragons die, right?,” Another X user wrote.

Someone else wrote, “Blake Lively saying she is Khaleesi is not the flex she thinks it is because have we forgotten Khaleesi/Daenerys was a psychopathic woman who torched an entire city?”
