The Times Higher Education rankings were released yesterday and revealed the top 150 universities under 50 years old in the world.

In the rankings, Stirling ranked 4th in the UK and 54th in the world, a ranking which saw us move up from 6th last year on the UK chart.

Other Scottish universities to feature on the list were Dundee Uni who ranked as the top university under 50 in the UK, even though Dundee continues to be one of the worst cities in the world to look at.

Also on the list were Heriott-Watt University who were 10th in the UK, proving that no one cares about science.

Notable exceptions from the list were unis such as Abertay and Queen Margaret because they’re just not very good.

The world rankings were dominated by Asian and European universities with Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne in Switzerland taking the top spot, which translates as “oh look at me” in French.
