Question Time is coming to Exeter tonight

The line up has been announced

Question Time is returning to Exeter after a ten year wait, complete with the founder of Wetherspoons.

It was last in Exeter in 2006 when it was held in the Phoenix.

The line-up was revealed yesterday, announcing another group of high profile politicians coming to the university, following top dog David Cameron’s visit earlier this month.

Among the names are Liam Fox, a former defence minister, and Kate Hoey, a former minister for sport.

More exciting than Big Weekend

Paddy Ashdown will also be attending, the former Lib Dem leader who famously declared he would eat his own hat if the exit polls in the 2015 General Election were correct, which in typical Lib Dem style, he didn’t do.

Leanne Wood, leader of Plaid Cymru, and overall big name from the election will also be on the panel.

Perhaps the guest most relevant to Exeter students however, will be Tim Martin, founder of Wetherspoons, and dispenser of cheap pints, who will be playing this week’s token non-politician.

And of course, the amiable David Dimbleby will be hosting the show, which will be broadcast at 10.55pm tonight.
