A post-mortem confirmed that Ms Ho had died after suffering multiple cuts to the neck.

Her partner, Timothy Allen, was arrested after police arrived at the scene last Saturday at 11pm and since then has been charged with murder.

He was scheduled to appear in court this morning but failed to appear due to illness.

Police cordoned off the house in the quiet residential area

They are understood to have lived together for the last couple of years and were described as a “lovely couple” who got involved in the street’s regular social events.

Cambridgeshire Police have said: “The death is being treated as an isolated incident and no one else is being sought in connection.”

One neighbour said: “All I can express is shock and horror. We are just devastated. I would say she was a friend more than a neighbour.”

Another said: “She was a lovely lady. We have street parties and gatherings and she got on with everyone and had time for everybody.

“The local community here is very close and there are often parties where people get together for a few drinks.

“This has been a big shock and everyone has been supporting each other and making sure everyone is OK.”

Armed police arrived at the couple’s house after they were contacted by the ambulance service which had received a report of concerns about a man.
