‘I own this road’: Student fined £395 for putting his head on a taxi

He’s now being sent to learn about the dangers of alcohol


A student has been fined and will be made to attend drink awareness classes after stopping a taxi and putting his head on it.

Benjamin Myers stepped in front of the taxi in West Bridgford in October and shouted: “I own the road. I am not moving. What are you going to do?”

The Food Science student then put his head on the bonnet of the taxi multiple times and said: “This is my road”.

He then pushed the taxi driver in the chest.

Benjamin admitted criminal damage to the taxi and has been fined £395, including £250 in compensation.
