We made a Crisis at home, all thanks to corona

Serving ultimate Rugby Boy Energy

In the week my housemates and I tested positive for coronavirus, we decided to level up our isolation and create a Crisis at home. We still wanted to celebrate Halloween and had plans to go to Crisis but unfortunately, Miss Rona arrived and had other plans for us. But nevertheless, nothing was going to stop us from celebrating…

Chugging VKs should be a competitive sport

We decided to go all out, starting with society fancy dress; ranging from tennis to golf, we made sure we looked the part and everyone knows you can’t be part of a society without some crazy initiations (not rugby-level crazy though, I didn’t actually want to end up in QMC :/). These initiations were destined to leave us with some heavy hangovers, but what’s a Wednesday night sesh without the Thursday morning migraine?

Lose your wristband? CHUG!

We started off the night with a social at around 7.30pm, with everyone arriving having to eat an anchovy for entry into the social (at least it wasn’t a live goldfish). We then had a number of other activities and drinking games – including using our beloved drink funnel (bought especially for the occasion).

Crisis entry was at 9.30pm, so with a few bevs down us, our night began with some VKs (would be rude not to), and we started in the main room (kitchen). We downloaded the Crisis playlist from Spotify, to make it really feel as though we were there.

As the night went on, people started getting more drunk and were feeling the chilled out sexy vibes, so we moved onto Black Cherry Lounge, vibing to the R&B, which with the addition of some LED lights, was a great time. Usually now would be the time the girls had pulled, and the number would be dwindling, but you can’t pull in isolation Crisis so the night went on.

Shots Shots Shots

As the night went on, we found ourselves in need of a bit of a breather. So, we headed outside to the smoking area, where we did an interview for Carpe Noctum, otherwise known as Crisis TV. What an honour.

Heading back inside to the main room for some late-night cheese, we got our groove on for the final few hours. The lights slowly came on alongside ‘You’ve Got A Friend In Me’, and that brought an end to our crazy night in isolation Crisis.
