So I’m sure to most of us knicker shorts can seem totally scary, this is probably because of the whole wearing your underwear in public thing. Worn correctly however they can look flattering and very fashion forward. Take a look at our yes and no arguments and decide…. are you a knicker shorts girl?

Yes

I don’t think anyone can claim that Rihanna or Daisy Lowe, avid fans of knicker shorts  lack fashion sense. And it would also be wrong to say that they don’t look good in them, either. These shorts look undeniably eye-catching, although it must be said…. Only on the right person. In fairness, not everyone can wear them. In my opinion, they don’t flatter larger girls because they accentuate flaws, however on some girls they look amazing. If you’ve got it, flaunt it (but please make sure you have got it first). Girls with big boobs constantly show off killer cleavage, so why shouldn’t girls with a great bum do the same? It’s been proven that boys prefer a good bum to a pair of tits anyway (sorry ladies). High cut knicker-style shorts can lengthen gorgeous legs and, if you buy the right size, they reveal only a small amount of your behind to avoid any unflattering overhang. Plus, you don’t even have to have your booty hanging out, who says you can’t wear a pair of tights? Girls, try something different and give them a go! I’m a knicker shorts girl… Are you?

ASOS Knickershorts

No

Knicker shorts. The very word makes me shudder. Shorts so miniscule they are redefined as ‘knickers’, because apparently short shorts are not short enough. As far as I am concerned, knicker shorts were created by the cruel Gods of unflattery. They highlight cellulite, emphasize sagginess and draw unnecessary attention to the dreaded thigh area. I definitely won’t be purchasing a pair; I believe that you don’t need to show every inch of leg and female anatomy to feel sexy. Another reason for not clicking onto ASOS and inching closer to the immanent use of overdraft facilities; I really don’t wish to wear something that highlights how unlike a Victoria’s Secret model I am. No. That would completely ruin the work of my trusty spanx! I can’t argue with the fact that on holiday, people usually wear very little and don’t exactly look ‘decent’, but I will say this, last time I checked St Tropez was not down the road from Portland! I’m sure you’ve got a lovely bum but I would prefer not to see the definitions of it. I am all for freedom of fashion but, quite frankly, knicker shorts have hit a bum note.
