Mark Andrew Developments (MAD), owners of the likes of Tusk, Hula and Infamous Diner are giving out free beer today to anyone named David in honour of St David, the patron saint of Wales.

Mark Andrew Developments owns a total of seven bars across Manchester, that’s seven whole bars to drag anyone and everyone you can find named Dave to for beers on the house.

All David has to do is present his (or her?) ID for a freebee beer.

The irony is St David actually encouraged followers to refrain from drinking beer, so what better way to commemorate his (roughly) 1,428th death-aversary than drinking as much free beer as possible?

Come on Dave, we’re going to the pub.
