Residents receive rollicking after Ramsay rave

Toilets trashed after 200 revellers descend on halls

| UPDATED

Anarchy descended on Ramsay last Friday night when a Facebook party spiralled out of control and left a trail of destruction in its wake.

Residents at the £200-a-week halls have now received an angry email threatening to make them foot the bill for damage caused to bathrooms – regardless of whether they’d been partying or not.

A familiar morning after scene

Ramsay’s team of wardens emailed students days later, reminding them to refer to their “Student Regulations and Guidelines” with regards to party regulations.

They pleaded for information as to the identity of the would-be Tony Wilson of Whitfield Street.

The party, which had been planned on Facebook, escalated after hundreds of people were invited to the event page.

To the horror of unsuspecting residents who had been hoping for an early night, over 200 revellers – from UCL and beyond – turned up at Ramsay, leaving courtyards overflowing with people.

The throng of boozehounds descended en masse to Ramsay’s subterranean lounge.

They were soon stopped mid-DJ set by Head Warden Terry and his fearsome team – who attempted to evict the crowd and threatened to call the police.

Grainy footage of the debauchery

Onlookers described the warden team opening the main gates and pushing people out onto the street, leaving ravers cut-off mid-groove crestfallen…and Ramsay residents locked out of their own halls.

The now semi-legendary bash left the male and female toilets severely damaged, and condom machines destroyed.

Folorn English fresher Charlie Macnamara said: “I was really looking forward to using that condom machine. I went to Tesco for change and everything. Now I’ll never get lucky.”

Snitches get stitches

As it stands, the organiser of what halls chiefs are euphemistically referring to as the “unauthorised party” has yet to come forward – leaving their disgruntled flatmates potentially out of pocket, and missing out on potential BNOC status.
