Tuesday 8th March: Merseyside Police have confirmed that the woman has been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence.  Carly Katherine Williams, a 21 year old from Anfield, has been bailed and will appear in court on April 21st.

A second woman, who is 40 years old and  from the Kirkdale area, has also been arrested in connection with the incident involving a bouncer on Mathew Street. She remains in police custody. 


 

A 21 year old woman has been arrested after a video posted on Facebook appeared to show her racially abusing a bouncer on Mathew Street.

Only hours after the video went viral on facebook, Merseyside police confirmed they had arrested a women in Anfield.

In the video the bouncer, who is believed to work at Rubber Soul, can be heard saying: “Tara girls, goodnight…chumps. See you later, see you later beak head” to a group of women.

One of the the group then shouts that the bouncer is an “ISIS man”. Further racially offensive slurs are made by one of her friends, including “Move you little n*****. You little fat hairy n*****. You fucking black bastard”, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The police have seen the video and have requested to talk to the bouncer. They have also arrested a woman in relation to the incident.

The video was posted on Facebook yesterday with the caption “here’s a group of lovely young ladies out enjoying a quiet mothers day drink” and has over 8,000 shares. It received hundreds of comments supporting the victim of the abuse.

Clayton Robert commented: “Am ashamed for them. What a disgrace to our city. I’ve started to notice the ladies (well tramps) like that are worse than men!! Well done for keeping cool mate.”

Benji Kam commented: “Mothers of the city. Producing off spring bound to be the same. Gang of dogs. Scruffy little tramps.”

Merseyside Police told the Echo: “Merseyside Police can confirm a 21-year-old woman from the Anfield area has been arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.

“This follows the posting of a video on Facebook last night, Sunday March 6, which was brought to the police’s attention earlier today.

“The force takes all reports of hate crime seriously and incidents are investigated by specially trained detectives from the force’s hate crime SIGMA team.”
