Eleanor BinesThe University of Leeds has confirmed that teaching will be “blended” for the academic year 2021/22.
In a presentation given by the First Year Convenor, the cohort was informed that while seminars, tutorials and laboratory learning will be in person, large lectures of over 50 students will be delivered online.
The presentation also notified first years that there will be no exam halls and students will continue to be assessed online. Such exams are expected to be two to three hours long within a 48 hour period.
On the university website, under “Coronavirus – information for applicants and offer holders FAQs,” the information on next year’s blended teaching is also given.
However, the university emphasises that the approach is “flexible” and “will depend on the UK government guidance on Covid-19 safety measures.”
UoL have said that: “Health, safety and well-being is our top priority and we will continue to review our plans and implement any changes, in line with government guidance, as quickly as possible.”
