Vigil to be held in Leeds to support victims of Charlottesville violence

It will take place at 5pm tomorrow


A vigil is to be held in Leeds in support of the victims of the violent clashes in Charlottesville in the US. One woman was murdered and 19 injured, after a car ploughed into the crowd’s protesting against a white supremacist rally this weekend.

At 5pm tomorrow, Wednesday the 16th,  a vigil will be held at Victoria Gardens in the city centre in support of the victims. It is organised by the Leeds Stand Up To Racism group.

The vigil is also being supported by Leeds Unite Against Fascism, Leeds Black Lives Matter and Leeds Stand Up To Trump.
