A man has been stabbed outside of The Alchemist bar on Greek Street

His injuries are not thought to be critical


A man, believed to be the doorman of the popular Leeds bar, was stabbed outside of The Alchemist on Greek Street in front of terrified patrons on Saturday night. Despite the serious stab wound, the 30-year-old man’s injuries were not critical.

The suspect escaped the bar but was quickly apprehended by police. Eyewitnesses reported that the bar was evacuated following the attack. Armed police and other officers were seen around Greek Street after the incident.

West Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called to reports of an assault on Greek Street, Leeds at around 11.15pm on Saturday night. Officers attended and found a 30-year-old male with a stab wound. He sustained a serious injury that is not believed to life-threatening. A 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.”
