One of the country’s most fashionable celebrity hotspot restaurant brands is coming to Leeds next year. Plans have been put forward which will see the renowned London restaurant, The Ivy, opening one of its Brasserie chains in the Vicar Lane side of the Victoria Quarter. Leeds isn’t short of good restaurants, but The Ivy is set to draw in a whole range of people.

The Brasserie brand is part of The Ivy Collection, which brings the familiar luxury of The Ivy with extensive all-day menus featuring the best of modern British dishes. Documents were submitted to the City Council earlier this month by developers Hammerson, which own the Victoria Estate and were behind the Victoria Gate shopping centre.

A spokesperson for The Ivy confirmed: “The Ivy Collection is in planning application for a site in Leeds for a possible 2018 opening, subject to planning approval the restaurant will feature an all-day dining menu and will be open seven days a week. The Ivy Collection is a group of restaurants, brasseries and cafes, established in London, offering accessible, all-day dining for locals and visitors alike. Each location is carefully handpicked to value, reflect and add to the local area.”
