Police on a high after massive weed seizure in student area
If any Leeds potheads were wondering why they felt a great disturbance in the force a few days ago – here’s your answer.
Police raised a local property to discover a cannabis jungle was being cultivated at the address.
Officers entered the house in popular student area Woodhouse on the 30th October using a search warrant, seizing a whopping amount of marijuana at the scene.

A police spokesperson said: “A drugs warrant was executed in the Woodhouse area. Officers gained entry to the premises to discover a cannabis factory in operation.”
A man has been arrested in connection with the drug growing operation, but enquiries are ongoing.
Local resident Chris Brooks commented on the stench of cannabis in the area: “I am just fed up where I live not being able to have my windows open because the smell of people smoking this rubbish coming through”
