The Daft Friday queue is ‘absolutely mental’

The 500 early bird tickets are nearly sold out already

Hundreds of students are already queuing at Glasgow University Union for Daft Friday tickets.

The much-coveted tickets went on sale at 1:30pm, but people were already queuing an hour before.

There are 500 early bird tickets and it looks like these will sell out incredibly fast.

Demand is always high for the tickets and the event usually sells out.

This year marks the 108th year the event has run. The night is on the 16th of December at the Union and always has a secret theme which is yet to be revealed.

Last year, students were wowed by a Pirates of the Caribbean theme. DJs Sub Focus played and there were many events throughout the night, including a casino, laser quest, movies and a ceilidh.

The event is the last one of the semester and is sure to be a great night. Tickets are also on sale at 1:30pm tomorrow.
