Holland Hall came second

The hall with the most residents from private school is Pennsylvania Court.

Holland Hall came second and St David’s came last.

Exeter has more than its fair share of private school Theos and Olivias.

This year saw an overall average of 28.5 per cent of applicants to halls being private school entrants.

Holland Hall surprisingly lost the title of housing the highest percentage of independent school students.

Commanding a steep £214.55 a week the pricey catered-accommodation, renowned for having the “rooms with the view” was knocked down to second place with 65.4 per cent, with a small reduction in the percentage of private school students applying compared to the year before.

But this year it was in fact Pennsylvannia Court which snatched the title from Holland Hall with a staggering 70.7 per cent of its residence being taught in private schools.

Both of these accommodations are in stark contrast to St Davids which hosted the lowest percentage at 4.9 per cent.

This year had a slight drop in the overall percentage of private school applicants to halls in comparison to the year before with a 1 per cent decrease.
