Did Ram Blowjob Video Cost Exeter a Top Ten Spot?

Exeter bumped down to 12th place in new Guardian league table

The Guardian’s 2014 University rankings came in last night, and results show that Exeter has been knocked out of its top ten slot.

Last year saw us hit the top 10, coming in just below Bath, while 2012 saw us in 11th place.

But the new 2014 ranking places Exeter in 12th position, behind Lancaster, Warwick and Imperial College.

While we share a National Student Survey rating of 91 with Cambridge and Oxford, the table shows that we were let down in our student to staff ratio and our expenditure per student.

It’s not just Exeter that’s been knocked down the scale though – Lancaster have fallen from 7 to 11 this year, while Warwick have gone down five places since the 2013 table.

What with the Ram Blowjob video and Cocaine on Campus hitting headlines this year, perhaps the Guardian have decided we’re no longer worthy of a space in the top ten.
