What’s on This Month
Culture Editor Francesca Brasington tells you her cultural highlights for this November. Scrumpy anyone?
Music
The Wurzels are in town! The scrumpy lovers might be charging a dubious £12.50 for their gig but we all know we’ll be there, cider in hand, doing the ho-down to ‘Combine Harvester’.
Go see the West Country crooners at The Lemmy on the 30th.
Film
Nosferatu is the notorious silent film adaptation of Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’ and is coming to the Northcott this month, with a live musical accompaniment by an internationally renowned pianist. This event is an ingenious idea from the Campus Cinema society and should not be missed. I bought my tickets weeks ago.
This horror classic is playing at the Exeter Northcott Theatre on Tues 20th.
Comedy
Mike Gunn, a star of ‘Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow’ is the latest comedian to headline at the Edge Comedy Club. Gunn has supported the likes of Alan Davies but don’t expect any whimsy from this self-confessed pessimist.
Gunn is live at the Edge Comedy Club on the 11th.
