Beach Break Live festival has long since been an end of exams pilgrimage for a massive number of Exeter students – last year over 700 made the trip.

This year (14th – 18th June) the festival is back and bigger than ever! With Chase & Status, Dizzee Rascal, Friendly Fires, Maccabees, Dry The River, Ben Howard and a whole host more topping the bill, the calibre of the line up is once again impressive.

This year Beach Break, which had a successful outing on Dragons Den at its birth, has announced some massive additions to their set up.

Set on an 8 mile beach in South Wales, the site plays host to a dry ski slope where the now infamous 'Stick It or Lick It' Freestyle inter-uni snow sports comp will take place on the first night.

The toboggan run, Chai Wallah's, zorbing, kite surfing, wake boarding, Extreme Games, parkour, Euro 2012 and more are already staple parts of the festival.

Beach Break have announced that on top of all this they will be laying on 'A Tub With A View', a hot tub that overlooks the Gower peninsula; 'The Ghetto Blaster and Palace', a  20kw sound system smuggled into a 1980s boombox and 'The Wild Wild Wood', a little woodland paradise with everything from theatre and comedy to poetry and prose drifting out from the trees.

Furthermore, Southern Comfort's 'Juke Joint' will be a cocktail and DJ-based haven; 'The Loungeabout' will provide a chill out area for the Dance Arena and 'The Wreck' throws acoustic bands and singer-songwriters into a shipwreck setting, with rumours of various unannounced performances already floating around.

Tickets can be bought now for a £40 deposit through Exeter's societies and reps – alternatively just select 'Exeter Uni' in the booking page to secure your student price ticket at £109 plus booking fee.
