Breaking: UoE teaching will be paused from Monday and some exams cancelled

First and second year exams are cancelled, whilst exams for third years and above will take place online

The University of Edinburgh has updated its Covid-19 guidelines, which now detail that teaching will be paused from next Monday, with a few exceptions where activity can’t be replaced.

The guidelines also state that “from 23 March, the vast majority of undergraduate teaching will be carried out remotely.”

First and second year exams will be cancelled this semester, while students in third year and beyond will take their exams online.

The University of Edinburgh has clarified that “students will achieve their qualifications on time and an Edinburgh degree will still hold the same value.”

The University will remain open, and services including the library, counselling and research and study spaces will continue to operate as usual.
