What’s Hot: Week 9

Summatives getting you down? Here are some of the places you can head this week to take your mind off them…

Black Comedy

LTC’s Black Comedy comes to the Assembly Rooms this week. Peter Shaffer’s farce in one act runs Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – head down to the Bailey if summative stress is getting a bit too much, it promises to be an evening of comedy, frivolity and people falling over in the dark. Tickets are available here and are £5 for students and £4.50 for DST members.

Palatoon

Durham will take over Newcastle for one night only this Thursday – Tickets are £12 and include Urban Oven on return. If you feel like getting trashed and having a coach take you home, this one’s for you.

#346 does St Paddy’s

Put on something green and head to Loft this evening to drink like the Irish. Tickets are £2 before 11, there’s even ‘DJ Ronan Duffey’ – if that’s not Irish, what is?

Floodlit Cup Final

Hatfield College take on Cuth’s in the decider of this year’s Floodlit cup. Cuth’s go in as underdogs ( Tab sports editor Vincent Lim puts their odds at 7/1) while Hatfield enter as the favourites as Prem leaders. Especially since they have this motivational video…

NOVA

NOVA have one last ‘three room blowout’ on Thursday – tickets are £5 on the door. Apparently the Arc DJs are running an invite only boat party beforehand, the perfect way to see out the term.
