Cardiff Castle will be showing three classic Christmas films this Sunday the 16th of December at its popular underground cinema.

The day will kick off with two showings of the 1990 Macaulay Culkin hit Home Alone, with one being shown at 10:30am, and another at 2:30pm.

There will also be three showings on Sunday of Will Ferrell's classic movie Elf at 12:30pm, 4:30pm and 8:30pm.

The 1984 classic Gremlins will also be shown at 6:30pm on Sunday. Additionally there is set to be further showings of Elf, A Muppet's Christmas Carol, and The Nightmare Before Christmas held on Monday the 17th and Tuesday the 18th next week.

The purity of Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf might be the only thing to cure us of the inevitable VK hangover from the night before.

Tickets for the film fest are on sale now.
