Police issue public alert after man tries to hug random women in Selly
Be careful guys
West Midlands Police have issued a public alert after several women complained of unwanted physical contact by a man on Tuesday.
Selly Oak police tweeted: “Few reports of a male in the area trying to hug females. Please be vigilant. If this has happened to you call 101 to report it.”
Earlier on in the week, a student warned the residents of Selly about this incident and warned those in the area to be careful.
Community Wardens from the Guild of Students have also advised women to be vigilant and keep an eye out for anything suspicious.
They tweeted: “Reports of a male in Selly Oak trying to hug females. Please be vigilant. Walk in groups!”
Should any of our readers suffer any crime, please report it to the police immediately using 999 in emergencies and 101 to report an incident. Describing even the smallest detail could help the police keep Selly Oak safe.
