Secrets nightclub hosts Take Me Out in aid of charity

Forget Tinder

On Thursday 5th November Secrets nightclub held their first Take Me Out event.

Five single men were hoping one of the 10 bachelorettes, would ‘likey’ and keep their ‘lighty’ on.

The event was in aid of Charis Cancer Care Ltd.

Looking for love

The night was complete with cringe intros, cheesy innuendos and a knock-off Paddy McGuinness.

True to the show, embarrassing videos about the men were played with the women deciding whether or not to turn off their light.

Each single man was introduced with immortal lines like “Let the willy, see the wonka” and “Let the prawn, see the cocktail”.

When there was a free light, single ladies from the audience were invited to join.

Córa Gallagher, Make Up Artist from Ballymena said: “I took part in the Take Me out event as it was for a great cause.

“The night was brilliant banter and all I really gained from it was sore cheeks the next morning from laughing.

“I kept my light on for a man and we spoke, but the only thing is that I am still having to resort to Tinder for love as it was just not meant to be.”

Victoria Greer, Lifeguard and contestant, said: “I got involved with Take Me Out as it was a great cause to raise money for charity.

“Unfortunately I am still waiting to be swooped off my feet but Tinder will have to do in the mean time.”

A spokesperson from Secrets Nightclub said: “The Take Me Out Event was a great night full of laughter, craic and raised over £900.

“Joe McCrystal, Lord of Mary’s Bar, has been and is continuing to raise money for the Charis Lord & Lady of the Lough campaign and there will be a Gala Event later this month to celebrate the success for the charity.”
